Where Does the Time Go???

How did the time get away from me??? Time sure does fly when you're having fun!!!

Here are the latest events in our lives over the past few weeks:

No, this isn't what you think... well, it is what you think, but it's not mine (I do get to claim the little bean as MINE, I'm just not growing it!!!) My brother and his wife are expecting their first baby! We are beside ourselves with joy!!!!! I think it's a girl...

I finally broke down and took the kids to Monkey Joes! They had an absolute blast! I am so happy (and sad) to report that Jake can do EVERYTHING all by himself! It is no longer necessary for Mommy to go into all of the inflatable obstacles with him! It's bittersweet...

Home from Monkey Joes and stripped down... to ward off any germs!!!

Mimi and Pop Pop babysat one night... need I say more?

Sam was so tired... he had been to the circus, been outside, played at Monkey Joes, been babysat by Mimi and Pop (not in one day, but in the course of a few days)... he just couldn't make it any further! He didn't even eat dinner this night!

I (along with some much-needed help) did a shower for Lyndsey, who is expecting a baby girl (Amelia Elaine) in April. This is her diaper cake and a couple of pictures from the shower! Such fun, and we are SO excited to meet this little girl!

She is SUCH a beautiful pregnant woman... (no fair!!!)

Sam LOVES to cut with scissors... he cuts straight lines and shapes... usually 'for Mimi and Pop'!!!

It snowed... AGAIN... in MARCH!?!?

When Sam went to stay with Mimi and Pop Pop 'on a whim,' they stopped at Wal-Mart to get underwear, jammies and an extra outfit... I think he was going for the 'retired' look...

And they made cupcakes...

And licked the beaters!

***Just for the record: Sam cried his eyes out to go home with Mimi and Pop Pop when we met them in Athens one evening. They couldn't stand it, so they let him go home with them. Jake, however, canNOT live without Mommy right now, and would cry his eyes out if I left him, so that is why it seems that Sam visits Mimi and Pop Pop more!***

Home again... Creative play... empty all the toys out and play in the box!?

The weather FINALLY got nice enough to go to the park... however, the boys got hungry and we left after about 30 minutes! After all the excitement to actually GET there!?

It's like they couldn't believe we were actually there!!! Can I go mom???

[part of the 'hesitation' may have resulted from my need to get 'the perfect shot,' which wasn't SO successful because of their excitement... vicious cycle!]

Playing with Daddy's hat...Jake laying in Mommy and Daddy's bed because he wasn't feeling well... for about three seconds!!!Daddy took one for the team and laid with Jake in bed...

To top off all of our excitement, BJ is having tests and sleep studies done because he has a deviated septum, which will most likely result in surgery within the next couple of weeks, Jake has a cardiologist appointment - routine check - which I had to reschedule because.... he now has pneumonia! Craziness at the Laterveer house these days!!!!

Sam, being the wonderful big brother he is, listened to Jake's heart and lungs (just like the dr... and mommy!)

That didn't stop Jake from eating his breakfast!An 'ole pro at the 'dinosaur nose'

And we have a bit more exciting news (that has been taking up quite a bit of time), but that will wait for another post.... Stay Tuned....
