It's December! And Christmas is almost Here!?!?

Last year with Santa...

And this year!!!! Jake walked right up to him and said, "I want McQueen toys!" Sam was right behind asking for all kinds of stuff too! Santa was quite impressed with their tuxedos! I think they may have left an impression on Santa... a good one this year as opposed to last year! Although... that is still one of my favorite pictures!!!

And they're easily distracted by the snow! Last week, Sam sang in a Christmas program at school! We were all excited to be able to go and watch him!

This past Saturday, we went to a Christmas party for the Kids at Heart with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Here we are ready to go...Santa was there too! This one got an earful too!!!They had lots of crafts and activities for the kids... here we are decorating cookies!This is Macey Jane and Joey Wirka. We met them when we were in the hospital with Jake. Macey is a week younger than Jake and was born with a CHD as well. She has had 2 or 3 surgeries since her birth and is just now in the "safe" zone with her heart. Praise God. Again, we are so blessed with Jake's MIRACULOUS healing! Ironically, Joey is a week older than Sam! Needless to say, we bonded with the Wirkas in the hospital and still keep in touch and were so excited to see them at the party! (Macey wasn't QUITE as fond of Santa!!!)Here are some of the crafts and 'loot' from the party!Sam was so proud of his gingerbread house!!!! He and BJ make one each year!

Bring on Christmas... and Santa!!! BUT... don't forget the true reason for this season - Jesus' birth!
